Performing YPOGS search to find company/organization information is a relatively easy process. The following uses a pictorial illustration to demonstrate various such search methods.

1. Zip code search. You can directly type in the zip code of the area that you are searching information for. After clicking on the Go button, the system will show all the top-level categories both in texts and pictures. You then click on any top-level category image to see all its 2^nd-level categories. Clicking on any 2^nd-level category image will lead to a small window containing all the final categories under that 2^nd-level category. The last step is to click on any final category within the small window to search the database for all businesses/organizations that satisfy the zip code and final category criteria.

2. Map search. Similar to the zip code search, but instead of typing the zip code you choose a state and city from the map through mouse clicks. Category selection process is exactly the same as the above.

3. State level search. You select a State from the dropdown box and go through the category selection process to query the yellow page database.

4. Business listing search. You can directly search businesses/organizations by typing search terms in the business listing search textbox. The system will search through the whole database and display all businesses/organizations whose listing names or company descriptions containing the search terms.

The process of creating company listings or on-site advertisements are also very straightforward. Only registered companies/organizations are allowed to create listings or advertisements.
